Dre Foster Jarrell wes interviewed at his office in the Medical
Arte Buiiding, and advised that he has never had Eras, Conner for e mtient,
but did treat Eddie Conner over a period of yeara. He also advised that
he had treated a young lady named May Hanley, known to him as the niece of
the Conners, This girl is about 19 or 20 years of age, and bas not been
in Hot Springs for a year. However, he has heard from her from Dalles,
Texas, ste requesting that he forward her prescriptions. On these ecasions
she would always send a self-addressed envelope, and he does not recal)
the address where she was in Dellas, nor did he file the correspondence, |
Kowever, ho understood that she has an aunt in Dallas. Dr. Jarrell f urther
advised that Bddie Conner has told him that he was originally from the State .
of Miesissippi, and that he was a cousin of the present Governor of that
State of the same name, Ee dosa not recall the town in Kississippi which
was Eddie's hone, but advised that he understood it to be in the Delta
section. Later he sugzested thet it was possibly Tupelo, but it is noted
that Tupelo is not considered to be in the Mieelesippi Delta. He further
advised that he underatands that hrs, Conner came from Lissouri, but he
has no information as to the town.

’ ee ° : With reference to the telephone call made from Fort Smith,
ws Arkansas, on the night of June 16th to the Mayflower Grill, it was ascere
tained that thie plece is run by « Greek named Pete Stathakos, whose repute-
tion was reported to be good. He was interviewed and stated thet the only
cells he ever received from Fort Smith were from a friend named John Karrent,
who bas a farm near Fort Smith. He does not recall the dates of these calia, .
but stated that he received 2 or 3 between June 12 and July 4, and that he
has alao called Karrant several times. These conversations were in connection
with the desire of Karrent to purchase same linens from a bankrupt stock in
_ Kot Springs. He gave Karrant's number in Fort Smith as 5988, and it ie noted
that a previous memorandum verifies the fact thet calla wore made to that
number, He further stated that he is positive alwaye called from his home,
es he would ordinarily also talk to other members of the Farrent family.
Pete could not recall a long distance call ever coming to his
place for anyone else. Another employee, Harry Andrews, was also questioned,
but stated positively that no call has been received from out of town for
@ customer or other person. Neither could definitely remember a call on.
