Barrett Prettyman, Jr., by the attached letter, requested general background and identifying data; business and financial data; criminal background and derogatory data; information relating.to cantacts with any gambling operations or enterprises; information relating to eontacts with foreign governments, their representatives, or other foreign nationals; and information relating to direct or indlrect contacts with present or former members of Congress Concerning each of the above listed individuals. Relative to Crowder, Grochowski, Parmelee, peck, Spear, Sullivan, West, and Whittington, there does not appear to be, subsequent to review of captioned matter, any further information concerned with each other than that listed in Prettyman's. letter dated 3/21/80. Relative to Florio, Fowler, Howard, and Hughes, there does not appear to be any additional information than that already provided te the BOd for Prettyman, : Relative bo Buser, Errichetti, Jenrette, Kelly, Lederer, Maressa, Murphys. Patten, and Thompson, information was found and is coritained in the attachwients subsequent to review ef Bureau. indices. It should be noted that the information. contained in these attachments: does net include that information in the Abscam investigation. Relative to Ciugto, Mattox, Rosenberg, Silvestri, and Weinberg, arrest records are attached. Relative to Eriden, Maher, Murtha, Myers, stowe, and Weisz, anly information contained. within the Abscam investigation . e8ists. Tt should also be noted that information concerning Buser, Clugio, Criden, Errichetti, Jenrette, Kelly, Lederer, Maressa, Murphy, Murtha, Rosenberg; Silvestri, Stowe, Thompson, and Weinberg also exists within the Abscam investigation in addition to that which will be provided to Nathan. Because the majority of this information, i.¢e., business and financial, eriminal background, and foreign contacts, has been subject to ongoing grand jury investigations, it will not be reported to Prettyman through Nathan at this time.
