1934 & 1937 I think P.M.A. miners got along fine with P.M.A. officials &
officials of Mine B, I remember that sime time befcre Mine B ciosed I hnd a

was in the wash-house, DOMINIC FASQUALE, PETE CARTER, FRANK AUSTIN & a few
other men ell cf whom favored U.M.N. were alsc in the wash-house & after the
F.M.fi. miners went down when the whistle blew OSCAR FALCETTI cane into the
wash-hcouse & I sow him wink at FRANK AUSTIN & he suid “It didn't work” &
AUSTIN seid, “we will get them tomcrrow." I told this later to the PA. \
officials. I den't recoll of anything happening that day but I think CARTER }
& AUSTIN had been expelled from F.M.A. already. Betwoon 1934 & 1937 to the
best of my knowledge most cf the P.M.A. minors were satisfied with local #54
& it wos run by the men & nct by a fow. I was net active but did go to a lot
of the meetings. In regard to the men sent to jail for the bombing I & others
felt that they were rcilroaded & wore not guilty. FP... officinis mace re-
porta as to what they cid with the money. Once they hod a 10% assessment but -
otherwise there were nc cutstanding spocisl assessments. Before Mine B closed
Ui, men never picketed the Mine B. “ut before Mine B closed thore was a
group around Mine B who were fcr U.M.W. and they were SAMMY; ANDY SCHOELEVIOUS:
PASQUALE; CARTER; AUSTIN; TONY PLOTCH; "COTTON" ANANIAS; 3 SIRTOUTS; GEO. &
EMORY JACAWAY; BOWLING GREEN & JIM HALE and 1 heard that these men were try-
ing to get the Mine B closed & were supposed to have seid thet if tho Mine
didn't ge over to U.M.W. it would be closed and I heard they hrd gone around
