don't remember any conversation or activity on the part of the Mine B
management to influence the men toward U.M.N. during this period,
"J remember that, after the minc re-opened, in the fall of 1939,
got a job in the mine as an air checker. There was no position

and trying to gct them to join the U.M.W. i have heard several of the
men say that he wes paid by the U.U.W., not the mine management, but I
don't remember who said that, and J know nothing more about it.
