Then I started working for the mine in 1939 I stayed
a member of the PHA until about Jan. of 1940 when I
cont inued ) joined the UM. I joined the ULMT because all the other
men were joining that union. As rar as I was concerned
conditions were the same under United as they ere under progressive.
Then T went back to the mine I was civen my old job as a Teper
I have never been threatened by anyone at the mine and I have never seen
any of the men fighting. The only thing I can say about the strike of
1937 and the conditions out there, is that thers was some kind of fight
on between the unions. _
RThis statement has been given by me
who has acted as interpre reter. This sta senent ha
me and it is true to the best of my memory.
