were alricht. Back in 1932 I was neutral as it didn't matter to me if
I had to join over with Plis but I did not like the idea of taking a cut at
that time. I did not help org inize the PMA in 1932 but I went over as
the majority went over. I don't know of any trouble between PMA or Elshoff
or the minagement of Iline B. I don't knowof any strikes or any trouble
between 1932 and 1937 when the mine closed. “hile with PA we got the
union senle and the contract wis lived up to. I attended most of the
Pia meetings between 1932 until the mine closed. ‘The men themselves in
PHA voted upon all matters that came up and there were not a few who ran
the showe I don't knov if those FA men who were sent to jail for the
houbings were guilty or innocent 2s I never paid much attention to that

with rMa officials. To my knorledce no UMYT men bothered us 2% the mine B
prior to the strike in 1937, and I never saw any liternture from UL® then.
I néver was approrched by anyone to swing over to Ulli prior to the strike.
I never heard about any parties being given between Mine B officials and
UM men. I don't know anything about the contract expirine in Karch, 1937
