I. Investigation of the Struggle of the United Mine Workers to

directed to ascertaining to what extent Lewis and
other United Mine Workers officiala bai indicated
by statements or otherwise that Mine BE" was to be
won over at any cost.

the other parts of Illinois, there was until May,

was under firs Progressive control. Investigation
abould be directed to ascertaining whether this as

D. It is eatablished thet sone time prior to May, 1357,
certain individual mesbera of the Progressive Union
were on United's payroll. The following men were
