gone into a beer parlor some place in town and drunk a nunber of Miss Gandy
glasses cf beer and that when he came out he was minus (40. He stated
that ne was cf the opinion that he had been doped and the money stolen from
him, -
I told him that the Bureau hed no jurisdiction cover this matter and
suggested that he contact the Shore Patrol, Ee stated that he had contacted the
Shors Patrol but that they refused to do anything for him and went off ard left
him, Ue insisted that the Fureau do sc-ething about the zatter and 7 again
peinted out te nim that it was not within the Fureau's jurisdiction. de then
wanted to knew if the persors whe had allecsediy doped him had questioned him
for information concerninz the names and wnereapcuts and sailing dates of
certain ships whether the [Tureau would be interested. I toic him that the
Ehreau would he interested. in that type cf information and asked him whether
tnis had happened. te stated that he did not remember of it having happened
‘but that it very possibly could have happened while he had teen doped. I
agair sugrested to him that he refer this matter to the Shore Patrol.
The subject thereupon became indignant and stcted that he would
write to the Vayor of St. Louis, his Congressman and the President and tell
them that toe FSI had failed to handle this matter. I again toid him that
there is ncthing that the FEI could handle and that it was something for the
Shore Patrol to handle.
It is to be noted that the subject while conversing over the phone
sounded as though he were intoxicated at the time. Several times there was
a lull in the conversation when.he was trying to find words to express himself, »
