In this letter Solonel Louwace stated only that he had been aprointed by the Belcian Minister of Justica to eentinue nis task as delegate for Belgium in the."International Commission of criminal Felice," "which has to be reorganized." He asked for your remarks and suggestions concerning ti.is reorganization. ; In answer, you wrote Zolonel Louwage by letter dated April S, 19h6, ° expressing tleasure on his appointment and telling him that-we were unable to make any concrate remarks or suggestions at this time and’asking for more details. At the sans time we wrote Special Agant Horton Talford in Paris and asked him to ciorview ‘olcnel Louwage for mors information concerning his plans for the .7.7.P. This necessitates Agent Telford traveling to Brussels, Belgium, to inter- jew the Colonel. By cable dated Kay 2, 1946, Agent Talford stated that he had rranged an interview with Colcnel Louwage in Brussels for May 6, 13946, which is woday's date, and he promised that he would furnish the results of this interview ren his return to raris on May dth next. Meanwhile, as stated above, we received a cable on April 23, 1946, from London indicating that the 1I.7.°.P. planned a convention in Brussels on Juns 3rd, Arent VE ee ee TO ee ld atta worst cimperman follcwed this up with a letter which was received in the Bureau on april 29, 1946.
