| Sips eee bi age, Leh Sa ee o be desirable for us to cooperate in any way possible with Mr. Trimble; that we should suggest to him that we would be agreeable to checking the list of passengers as previously above-indicated; that, however, this should be done in conjunction with the Inspectors of the Depart- ment of Commerce; that we would be very glad to work with them in handling this situation, however, it was suggested that we request the Commerce Committee to obtain the list of passengers from the Zeppelin Company and thereafter we would have two of our men work with two of the Department of Camerce Inspectors. On the following day, May 13, 1937, Mr. Trimble was ad- vised in accordance with the above situation and at this time he advised Agents Vetterli and Devereaux that they had checked out most of these pessengers and at this time they had none that they desired us to check, but that they would call upon us for any assistance if they desired it and they have not, as yet, suggested to us any inquiry, although we have indicated to them that we were very desirous of rendering any and all possible assistance to them and that we would consider any request for investigation they made and if same was proper, 3n accordance with what we should handle. we would be glad to inme- Ae a eee Pee We.
