Confidential Informant Knoxville T-2, another Govern-'°
and a former official or the Communist Party, advised on November
21, 1952, that the Highlander Folk School was pro-Communist,
but BUDENZ did not furnish further details.
: The October 8, 1961 issue of the Knoxville News-
Sentinel, a local daily newspaper published at Knoxville,
Tennessee, contained an article reflecting that Highlander
Folk School had announced plans for a similar school at =”.
