SWIFT advised that he is a retired Methodist Minister, Ol years of age, and that he has resided at Monteagle, Tennessee, for the past 10 years. Rev. SWIFT reported that the Highlander Folk School which is located on highway between Monteagle and Tracy City, Tennessee, was reportedly founded during the early part of 1930 by a man names/DOMBROSKY. Rev. SWIFT’ stated that he did not know DOMBROSKY's first name and that he had never met DOMBROSKY. Rev. SWIFT advised that DOMBROSEKY is no longer connected with the Highlander Filk School, but that he ie reported to be sympathetic with the Commumist. Rev. SWIFT stated that he believed DOMBROSKY to be sympathetic with Communism because of newsapeper accounts linking DOMBROSKY with strikes which were occuring all over the United states. SWIST stated that he had never heard any conments made either by or accred- ited to DOMBROSKY which would lead him to believe him to be Commmistic and he stated that he had not received eny reports of any activity on the part of DIGROSKY other than the newspaper accounts of DOMBROSKY participating in strikes which would lead him to believe that DOMBROSKY was sympathetic with Commmism or any subversive organization. . SWOT stated that he has been informe that the Highlander Folk Sehool te renortediy overated under the lesdershin of a man by the names of Oe ee ae aM pw Vey ee ee a Vuorton, f first name unimown. He seid that he has never met HORTON and does not know anyone connected with the Highlander Folk School either in the past or at the present time. He also advised that he has never visited the Highlander Folk School and has never associated with anyone who has frequented the Highlander Folk School or associated with any of the individuals connected with this school. Rav. SWIFT advised that he bas no direct Information regarding the Highlander Folk School or any of Ita past or present personnel. He stated that his only information concerning the possible sympathies of the Highlander Folk School ; ? with the Cammnist Party or other subversive organization is in the form of Se hearsay information. Rev. SWIFT was asked for specific information even in the. rorm of hearsay upon which he bagéd his opinion that the Highlander Folk School was Comunistic in nature. Rev.
