According to GRRE the teachers at the school were very well educated but the students were the children of union members from the factories in the south who were. taught courses on how to train factory workers in unionism, the courses taught being Labor Study, Labor Economics, and Union Organizing. The school is - supported largely by contributions from individuals rather than by contributions trom labor organizations, one of the contributors being FRANKLIN D. JOHNSON founded the school for the purpose of promoting conditions favorable to farm people; that for most of the year the school directs its activities towards assisting the community folk; and that in addition to this the school has two sessions of about one month each, one in the spring and one in the fall.
