KX 100-2375 a On June 13, 1950, Confidential Informant T-5 reported that a Progressive Party meeting was held at CLARA VINCENT's home, Chattanooga, on May 22, 1950. ‘Those present at this meeting were FRANK VINCENT, CLARA VINCENT, ELLA TYBER, Mes. WOLINSKY, JOHN HOOD, GRACE HOOD and ROBERT BROOKS. ’ according to the infornant, no business was transacted at this meeting Lo} ‘ x av II. DATA CONCERNING INDIVIDUAL OFFICERS AND MEMBERS CLARA M, VINOBNT, Aka Mrs. Francis Georgd{Vincent ": _ CI T-7, of known reliability, advised on June 7, he, that VINCENT was a member of the sponsoring comml thee of the Michigan Free Browder Congress. ¢\ The National Free Browder Congress has begn cited as a Comunist front by the Special Comittee on Un-American Activities in its report of March 29, 1944. CI T-8, of mown reliability, advised on February 2, 1943, that VINCENT was a member of the Public Relations Committee of the Mic Civil Rights Federation. The Michigan Civil Rights Federation has been listed as a sub- /-versive and Communist organization by the Attorney General of the United States in his letter of September 21, 1948. CI T-9, of known reliability, furnished a letter dated April 14, 1943, which showed VINCENT to be Secretary of the sponsoring con- mittee of the Detroit Chapter, Peoples Institute of Applied Religion. . Tho Peoples Institute of Applied Religion was cited as @ subversi and Cormunist organization by the U. S. Attorney General in his letter released September 22, 1948, CI T-9, of known reliability, on January 10, 1944, furnished material reflecting VINCENT to be a member of the Executive Board of the Detroit Council of American-Soviet Friendship. ‘The National Council of American-Soviet Friendship was cited as @ subversive and Communist organization by the Attorney General of the United States in his letter of September 21, 1948. ~6- ‘
