The following investigation was conducted by iii on
November 17, 1917. It was ascertained that the meeting held at the Gilmore
Stadium, Los Angeles, on November 16, 1947, and sponsered by the rrogieoalre
pre Citizens of America had been attended by approximately three thousand people.
At this meeting, stands had been set up at which people could sign letters
addressed to the United States Attorney General TOL C. CLARK, Washington Do,
protesting the findings of the House Committes on un-American Activities re-
dative to HANS EISLER, and EISLER's subsequent arrest by the Immigration and
Naturalization Service. A copy of this letter was obtained and is being -
