On March 4, 1935, Eisler and his wife were advised by the Immigration

The Inui gration authorities on arch 27, 1939, questioned Bans Risler
in connection with the articles appearing in the Daily Worker which have besn
‘get out previously in this memorandu:. Bisler stated he was not responsible
for these articles appearing in the Dally Worker or in any other newspaper of
the Wnited States, although he was aware of certain articles appearing in the
Daily Aorker concerning his activities. Re stated that he had been in Boston,

Boston, Massachusetts, and Chicago, Tllinols, the itinerary ef these trips
being arranged by the anti-Masi League in New York City. Eisler continued,
stating that he waa in Moscow in 1956, remaining thers for a period of ef ght

weeks. He stated that all of his concerts there wero given under the ‘auspices
ef the Communist Party. However, he stated he was invited to Moscow by the
Concert Bureau. He admitted also that he was paid by certain Soviet officials
in Russian money for conducting thease ooncerts. Eisler denied that he desires
any change in tho United States form of government or its sohool system.
