4 ¢ @ FEDPRSE UREAU OF mvesioari AD 9-17=74 Dote of tronscripiion_, i 68) acted at his residence and furnished the following information concerning the sale of a 1966 Chevrolet van, California License 84650 V: On May 1, 1974, he placed an advertisement in the San Francisco Chronicle, San Francisco Examiner and the San Francisco Progress, advertising the sale of a 1966 Chevrolet van for the price of $350, The advertisement ran for one day, which was May 1, 1974. By 10:00 AM, May 1, 1974, he had received four telephone calls inquiring about the purchase of th: van. All of these calls were recorded on a recording device attached to his telephone for the purpose of taking messages. He attempted to replay the tape recording of these messages. It is noted that inasmuch as it had been better than two weeks since he sold the van that these messages had been erased. He returned the calls that he had received on tape shortly after 10:00. One of these calls was a man's voice who said his name was WBRPERiasmweROy returned his call, a woman answered the telephone, stating that man inquiring about the van was not home. Mr. assumed that this woman was the individual's wife. She advised he would return in about ten minutes, advised the woman that if her husband was not familiar with body and fender work that he should not waste his time buying this vehicle as the body on the van was in bad need of repair on the front end and on the doors. The woman asked if vehicle was in good running condition, to hic nei oS eo affimatively.
