The female said, "They've Seen ns, we have to get rid of them". - 3 % . ae At_ about that time WEED advised he was clubbed = over the head by a wine bottle. WEED expressed some sur-° prise as to the fact that the bottle did-not break. ‘The -- only sound WEED. remembers hearing was a metallic bolt sound of the rifle. WEED thought he was losing consciousness, as | he felt very dazed. He was hit three times by the wine bottle -and then his head‘fell to the side and he was hit a fourth time. At that point, they had not ‘hit the neighbor. WEED © °. then leaped to his feet and started running around the living room and yelling as loud as he could. He stated his glasses. hed fallen off and he ‘was trying to dodge them and even con- — Sidered jumping out through the sliding glass door. WEED - Stated that when he leaped to his feet he may have possibly. . hit the black man who was standing or kneeling right behind - WEED advised that he felt the individuats did not. intend te kill him, as they could have shot at him but did... not. AS soon as WEED began running around the apartment, the =~ three individuals were getting I'EARST out of the apartment and "left SUENAGA on the floor in the hallway. WEED stated-he was = sure that the three of them left at that time. WEED advised he went to the back door and tried to get it cpen. He advised he most likely pulled his bindings cff his hands -just before opening the back door. He stated - he was: not tied very securely. WEED advised the bindings were of medium thickness, nylon.or cotton cord. He stated they certainly had not tied him very well. WEED continued, stating that he was able to get the back door open. At that point he left the apartment and remembers jumping over at. ijeast three fences in the backyard. He seems to have regained consciousness at this point and realized that the individuals: . were not chasing him. At this time he was approximately two | _ houses south on Benvenue. He did not see any ‘lights on and’ - >.> -went~over a fourth fence. During the escape he heard.nothing,... - oocdneluding no shots being fired. Once over the fourth fence, ~ = - -he cut back through a large yard and went through the gate. - _. He. emerged on Parker Street, the first street north of their “residence. He began banging on the first door he came to but
