BOMBING OF U. S. CAPITOL
_ At approximately 1:30 a.m. on the morning of March 1, 1971,
a bomb exploded in the old Senate wing of the U.S. Capitol causing damages
of approximately $100,000. No injuries occursed.
From the outset, the case was treated as 2 major case and
upwards of 75 Agents in the Washington, D. C., area worked on an around-the
clock basis. Thousands of interviews have been conducted and hundreds of
suspects have been investigated. Investigation is still underway to identify
the persons responsible for the bombing.
