Per request of rememo the following is the analysis of Special Agent Behavioral Science Unit of the Training Division, concerning the briefing by Dr. Murray Miron conducted in Inspector Gallagher's office on 4/3/74. It would be impossible to make a definitive evaluation of the accuracy of Dr. Miron's thesis concerning the character types involved in the Hearnap Case including the victim. Dr. Miron based his discussion on the thesis that Patricia Hearst is a dependent personality and her cap- tors are suffering from various degrees of Neurosis. He bases his conclusions on the character analysis on his own experience in dealing with similar deviant personality types.
