Among the committees on which Dr. Miron has served or is serving
are: the National Steering Committee of the Library of Congress for the
Implementation of Information Processing for the Blind; the National
Standardization Committee of the National Institute of Health for Re-
habilitation and Disorder Codes; and the Charter Committee of the Human
Communications Division of NICHHD. He has served on the Editorial Board
of the Journal of Psycholinguistic Research since 1973, and as consult-
jing editor of the Journal of Personality and Social Psychology since
1970.
Dr. Miron also acts as a consultant for the New York Police, the
Syracuse Veterans Administration Hospital and the Federal Government.
In the latter position, he is concerned with the analysis of threats.
Dr. Miron received the Chancellor's award for outstanding teaching
in 1970. He is listed in Who's Who in Science, American Men of Science
and Contemporary Authors, and has been cited in many text books and
journals.
He is the author or co-author of more than 50 books, monographs
and articles which apply the subject matter of psycholinguistics to
intelligence analysis, meaning systems and language.
