atated that he was on duty, October 5, 1953
To! aoa, until1:30 a.m. Tuesday morning, The Agents displayed
photographs to SANDRA O'DAY, CARL AUSTIN HALL and JOHN j
HAGER, at which tim tated he remembered the three Andividuals
coming into the MC NAMEE BAR at 2500 St. Louis Avenue on Monday,
October 5, 1953 between the hours of 3 p.m. and 4 p.m.
atated explicitly that he could remember HALL
requesting h for a pencil, a piece of paper and an envelope,
and that he, fumished these to HALL. He stated that he
thought it was unusual that HALL requested above items but that he
did not pay too much attention to him after giving the items to him,
as he waa buey at the tima tending bar. He stated, however, that

he remembers HALL writing something on the paper and placing it. in
the envelope and believed that HALL put the ‘envelope into his pocket;
however, he ‘was not positive of this.. = | aT
stated that he renenbers 1 HALL giving him a $20. 7
bill and he'remembers giving him approximately $18 in change... He. -
stated that O’DAY, HALL, and HAGER sat at a table across the room ‘from
the bar and that he could not .remember,.any of the conversation that
took place ‘between them. He stated that to the best of his knowledge
they bought one drink, ‘the men drank beer and O'DAY drank a highbali. an cy
He stated that the above three individuals were in his tavern for approxi-
mately one-half hour and he cannot recall whether they left in a taxt
or not, but it is his impression that they left in a taxi, He stated
that he does not recall how they arrived at his tavern and he ‘gould not
state whether HAGER drove a cab Day, from the bars which he. believed
they departed in. -
. CT ...:.: that to the best of his recollection, he
does not remember O'DAY, HALL or HAGER having any suitcases, trunks,
or packages or other items with them and he did not see any large
sum of money in the possession of these individuals. He again stated —
that the only money he saw was the §20 bill biven to him to pay for the
drinks,
