ADMINISTRATIVE: So -
This is an interim report covering briefly the
location, arrest and removal of subject BROWN to Oregon,
the search of the residence, pickup and other areas known
to have been utilized by subjects and possibly others, the
indictment of subject COUPEZ, and other miscellaneous ;
material of apparent immediate interest in the investigation
and prosecution of this case.
A report to include results of intensive investigation
to iocate other subjects, identify associates, catalogue specific
.
evidence and generally supplement information herein is currently
- in preparation to be submitted as early as possible.
Note that, agents from both the San Francisco and
Portland Offices personally appeared at Seattle to aid in
gleaning leads of immediate moment in attempt to affect the
earliest apprehension possible of remaining subjects and to
aid in identification of evidence of both Federal and local
crimes.
Additionally expert fingerprint and document examiners
from FBI Laboratory and Identification Division surveyed the
evidence recovered, preliminarily examined documents for hand-
writing, dusted certain items for latent prints and furnishéd
counsel to investigative agents relative to submission of evidence.
Contact is being maintained with the Bureau relative
to computerizing the list of evidence recovered to assure that
such evidence is easily retrievable at a later date and to aid
in the ultimate prosecution of this matter.
Specific investigative leads are being set out by
separate communications as they develop on a continuing basis
and will not be duplicated in this report.
