i -~-2- officers assigned to the State's Attorney's office. Senator Chew said that these officers are Chicago policemen detached from regular duty for service with the State's Attorney's office. He says that they are political appointees, Senator Chew provided the following investiga- tive leads, The autopsy on Hampton's body was performed at the A.A. Rainer Funeral Home, 320 EB. 7lst St., Chicago. He does not recall the doctor's name. Mr. Rainer, who is a Chicago alderman and who can be contacted at the above address, can provide information, as can Senator Richard H. Newhouse, 5429 Ridgeland Ct., Repre- sentative Otis Collin 30 W. Roosevelt Rd., and ee re ebane. abi Me feleom X (fomgeciy Crane) e. Other persons with information are: a reporter for the Chicago Daily Defen- er: also a Defender reporr: Patrolmen Ukew suggests contacting the Sun- Times reporter whose story appeared in last Saturday's paper. Senator Chew says that the Black Panthers will also provide information. Their Chicago headquarters is located at 2350 West Madison. In addition, Bobby Rush, who was arrested in the raid, and Deborah LNU, who is in the Cook County Hospital and under arrest, can provide information, as can the other Panthers who were arrested, I asked Senator Chew if the Black Panthers would cooperate with white FBI agents or white Departmental people. He said they would cooperate with any represen- tatives of the Department of Justice, although they
