MCCARTHY > aan AGAIN CRITICIZES FEI SAC Fred A. Frohbose of Miami called at 11:15 a.m. today, 5-18-68, and advised that the front page of "The Miami News" carried a four-column headline story of Senator McCarthy's speech in Miami last night which was entitled, ''Gene Assails U. S. Policy, CIA, and FBI."' Frohbose advised that the headline was almost the complete story in that the references referred to were fairly well buried in the story. He said that McCarthy was quoted as saying that when he gets into office he will straighten out the CIA, the FBI ‘and draft boss Hershey. No mention was made of the Director in the story. McCarthy's remarks are very similar to his previous criticism in an earlier political speech a few weeks ago. Frohbose advised that he is sending in a clipping of the story.
