S. Secret Service, San Francisco, and the U. S. sttorney, San Francisco. ad that at l:ll a.m. on June 5, 1968, one David R. Major, Necro, born December 11, 1949, who resides at 422 Belvedere Street, San Francisco, was arrested for violation of Section 448A of the California Penal Code, arson, and for violation of Section 1291B of the Municipal Penal Code, illegal knife. n June 5, 1968, heard glass breaking. opserved two men running from the vicinity where the noise of the breaking glass was heard. One David R. Major was apprehended and returned to the 1300 block of Fillmore Street. At 1336 Fillmore . Street it was observed that a metal trash can was apparently thrown through the plate glass window of a store that vas being used by the McCarthy for President Veadquarters at that location. In addition, two Molotov cocktails tere observed inside burning. Units of the San Francisco, California Fire Department succeeded in extinguishine the blaze. Major had the smell of gas on his hands and either could not or would not explain the origin of this gasoline odor. This document contains neither recommendations nor conclusions of the FBI.
