The “New York Datly News” of Aprtl 27, 1951, reported _that on the preceding day a Stop Communtem Comntttee was launched _ tn order to fight against "Red influence in the. entertcinnent -world."{ This Committee was formed under the auspices of J. Josep Satth, New York Coamander of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, and the group was to hold a loyalty festival featuring more than 150 movie, stage, and television People, the cay after the loyalty mrace sponsored by the Veterans of Foreign Wars. The festival wos to be held in Central Park and the stars 8cheduled to Participate tn the anti-Communist rally included Danny Kaye.
