Banse, who is attached to the MeGuire office of Assistant Attorney General George C. Doub of the Civil] Sullivan, Division of the Department, personally requested me to furnish him statistics as to the number of Japanese aliens taken into custody by the FBI up to 8-15-45, Mr. Banse advised that the Government Printing office Fe to publish a reference document regarding the Japanese-American- Evacuation Claims Program and he desires these figures in commenter, twith hie research for the preparation of this document.
