The. 9-22-58 edition of the “New York Times" published an
article captioned "Dr. King's Knifer Sent to Bellevue" which per-
tained to the stabbing of Martin Luther King in NYC, by Izola Curry.
This article indicated that King's wife, Coretta King, had arrived
in NYC, and after a brief visit with King told reporters that she
felt no bitterness toward Mrs. Curry.

The WFO furnished a summary of information regarding the
Youth March for Integrated Schools, held 10-25-58 in Washington,
D.C. One of the leaders of this march was Mrs. Martin Luther King,
Jr., who also delivered a speech on the Negro struggle for emancipa-
tion. This speech was to have been delivered by her husband, who
was convalescing from an. assault. (text of: speech set out).
