When he go to the end of the cafeteria did not see the subject, so he went back upstairs and Saw near the landing of the stairs. . again saw the shooter standing in front of the library and it is his recollection that as he and began running down the stairs together, the shooter began firing rounds at them. ee that as he and[ entered the kitchen an explosion occurred behind them an @ could hear objects hitting the metal door on the serving line. Once he ana[ _]were on the ground in the kitchen, they crawled undernea a large industrial oven, but_realized that hiding place was not secure. Around this time heard what he described as a “whoosh’” and saw fire in e vicinity of the cafeteria and the kitchen. etermined that he was in a “bad place” and moved into the kitchen. He then entered the walk-in cooler and went into the freezer. After approxim ne minute, who was carrying a radio, eaiieap fend told him to open the door and that he was coming in the walk-in cooler. The door opened and[_Jentered the walk-in cooler. They propped a food cart against the door and prepared several large objects to use as weapons in case the gunman opened the door. a trying to _make contact with two individuals, whom he identified as m his radio. [____] said that[ answered an told him they were in the cooler and to tell him when it was safe to come out. recalled hearing gunshots for a long period of time while he was in the cooler, but could not tell where they were coming from. He believes he saw shadows moving around the kitchen but did not see anyone. ae
