Participants in pest demonstrations by this group have always been peaceful and no trouble is anticipated, TS CN | May 21, 1972 "Pconle's March" The Peoples Coalition for Peace and Justice (PCPJ)} and the National Peace Action Coalition (NPAC) and other supporting groups are sponsoring a demonstration to protest the "escalation" of the war in Vietnam. Demonstrators are scheduled to assemble at the Ellipse at 11:00 a.m. and march to the Capitol for a rally at 1:00 p.m. The route of the march will be via Constitution Avenue, It is anticipated that this rally will last until — 5:00 or 6:90 p.m. We have no firm figures for attendance. Sponsors have indicated they would be happy if "tens of thousands" attend. A survey of public transportation indicates that these facilities may bring as many as 10,000 persons from r — to the deronstratigon Sylvan Theater MNemorial Service theCiergy. and Laymen Concerned About Vietnam and the Vietnam Vetcrans Against the War (WVAW)~ are seéking a permit for the use of Sylvan Theater from 8:00 p.m, 5/21-4:00a.m. 5/22 for amemorial service to protest the war. Following the service 2 candlelight march is planned from the Lincoln Memorial across Mernorial Bridge to Arlington Cemetary.
