FROPOSED MARCH FROM RIO GRANDE CITY, TEXAS, TO AUSTIN, TEXAS, ETC. arrive at Austin, Texas, on Labor Day. On July 12. 2966, es advised that approximately fifteen te teenty marchers had arrived in Weslaco, Texas, on July 11, 1965, aad that on July 12, 1966, they had proceeded east from Wes lacs and arrived at Elsa, Texas, at the end of the march on Jyly 12, 1966. He stated that the marchers were returasd bus to the San Juan Catholic Church and will re- sume their march from Elsa on July 13, 1966. On July 13. 1966, SY: «15: that tro marchers had traveled that date from Elsa, Texas, to LaVilla, ard that there had been no report of any inci- den‘s cf violence cr racial overtones. E 3 . barcrers, numbering approximately oty, had preceeded frcem LaVilla, Texas, to Lyford, Texas, which is rear Raymondville, Texas. He stated that the marchers planned to arrivé in Raymondville the next day and hold a rally acd then wevid proceed toward Falfurrias, Texas. He further added that nro incidents of any kind had been re- perted to his crfice, Oc July 13, 1966, ay advices that the marchers had arrived at Raymondville, Temas, arly that date asd that ther plarped to remain ain Raynesdville for the night to participate in a planned raliy.
