Oo July 4, 1966, the Valley Evening Monitor, a daily newspaper published at McAlles, Texas, printed an article stating that approximately 100 marchers had aarched from Ric Grarde City, Texas, to Sullivan City, Texas, and that they plannsd to resume the march on Tuesday, July 5, i966. ard ¢ccrtinue to Friday when the marchers expect to arrive at San Juan Catholic Church, San Juan, Texas.
