Socialist Youth Union of Philadelphia (CYU) at a uzcving held March 16, 1958.
reporting on CP youth to the Fourth Congressional District Seption Committee,
CPEPD, on April 23, 1958, stated the purpose of the SYU was to train young selected
progressives for ultimate development, into good Marxist-thinking CP members who
will be capable of assuming leadership in the CP.
