to the Department of State regarding an invitation extended to Profeasor \
Binstein to emigrate to the Soviet Union, The invitation, although
efficial in nature, was in fact extended to Einstein by Professor Kapitesa,
Einstein acknowledged the letter by replying by a personal letter to Stalin.

Professor Einetein was reported in December, 1949, to be a professor
of mathematics at the Inetitute for Advanced Studies at Princeton University,
Princeton, New Jersey, a known University group for fundamental research,
On February 13, 1950, the Atomic Fnergy Commission advised that Professor
Einstein had never been granted a formal clearance by the Manhattan Engineer
District which means that he was never investigated by the MED. They also
advised that no formal clearance had been granted Einstein by the Atomic
Energy Commission which means that the AM had never requested the FBI to
conduct an investigation as required under the Atomic Energy Act.
The Bureen files fail to reflect that any investigation has ever
been conducted on Professor Einstein for any purpose whatsoever.
