Molotov denied the truth of Einetein's allegations and again extended an invitation for Einstein to come to the USSR. It was reported that upon receipt of the complaints of Einstein, Molotoy directed the Ministry of Internal Affairs to immediately -investigate, which resulted in certain high Soviet officials being discharged © for anti-senitiam, The Professérs named by Binstein were then reported to have been elected to the Academy (9 Professor Einetein was reported in December, 1949, to be a professor of mathematics at the Inetitute for Advanced Studies at Princeton University, Princeton, New Jersey, a known University group for fundamental research, On February 13, 1950, the Atomic Fnergy Commission advised that Professor Einstein had never been granted a formal clearance by the Manhattan Engineer District which means that he was never investigated by the MED. They also advised that no formal clearance had been granted Einstein by the Atomic Energy Commission which means that the AM had never requested the FBI to conduct an investigation as required under the Atomic Energy Act.
