JULES ENDLER appeared before the United States Senate
Investigating Committee (KEFAUVER Committee) on July 11, 1951.
Be testified that ABNER "LONGIE" ZWILLMAN did not have an interest
in the Film Automatic Company. Subsequently, he was indicted
for perjury on the basis that this was a false statement, to which
he pled not guilty. For several years prior to 1954, ENDLER was
reported as suffering from high blood pressure and was under
physician's care constantly including several hospitalizations.
ENDLER was to be a key witness in the income tax evasion
case of ZWILLMAN, A deposition was taken from ENDLER because of
his health for use in the defense of ZWILLMAN. A Government
deposition was being taken in answer to the deposition given
ZWILLMAN, XENDLER was originally interviewed at Doctor's Hospital
in New York City, but suddenly left the hospital without a
complete Government statement having been taken. He was located
and a subpoena was served on him at his bome calling for the
