On November 17, 1955, the National Commander of The American Legion

anything more than a political ideology,..the record of DR. HUTCHINS, and
the record of The Fund for the Republic under his direction, is replete with
evidence that he does not believe Communism is a clear and present danger in
this country and that he is more interested in Opposing Communism's enemies
