Incicaent: 190 On 11 Catoder 1948 et approximately 1300 hours an unidentified abject wes observed by aix milit-ry personnel of 86th Fighter Wing Seubiberg A¥ Base, Neubiberg, Gernany. Object was estimated to be at 40,000 ft on s 50° heading from Neub’ AP Bace and was sightec contimoucly for 45 mimtes, gradually becoming smaller and smaller - apparently rising but no change in compass direction was moted and it was apparently not infiuenced by the winds aloft. Tne visible circumference of the object appesred round but it could not Do ascertained if it were diso=shaped or halli:t-chaped, It r in color and wery shiny in the rays of the sum. An A¥W80 craft flying Detween the object and the observers on the ground @ceared small in relation to the size of the object. ‘The estimated altituie of the jet was 25,000 ft. Object ws lost to view when a thin layer of clouds (estimated to be at about 20,00) ft) passed between the object ami the gréund observers, iigh reliability dv given tne personnel sighting this object.
