THE EUGENE O'NEILL SOCIETY At the meeting of December 30, 1978, in the Hilton Hotel, New York, 23 theatre and academic professionals met to formalize the organization of the Eugene O'Neill Society. Officers were elected and a Board of Directors named to serve for one year on an interim basis, during which time the Society will be formally incorpor- ated in the State of Rhode Island and a set of Bylaws will be drawn up. The Society will then adopt the Bylaws and wili hold its next meeting for the election of permanent officers and board at the MLA meetings in San Francisco in December of 1979.
