Sergeant North Carolina Department of Correction. b6 (NCDC) , was advised of the identity b7C of the interviewing agent and the purpose of the interview and immediately was furnished an Advice of Rights, Warning and Waiver Form, which he read, indicated he understood and signed.. Stated he wished to furnish information regarding. b6 letter he had written and he had no objection to Sergeant. b7C of the North Carolina Department of Correction being present during that interview. advised he wrote a letter to Mr. b6 a District Attorney at Newton, North Carolina, and after examining. b7C a copy of a letter, he advised this was his letter. advised during the year he joined the Ku Klux Klan (KKK) at. North Carolina.. He advised the head of the Klan at that time or the Grand Dragon was VIRGIL GRIFFIN. After joining,. b6 of his chapter and during the early part of. VIRGIL GRIFFIN came to that chapter and held a special meeting. b7C Three members. of group and three members each from other groups were chosen to form a special squad. and EDDIE DAwsoN, who was from Greensboro, North Carolina. This special squad was to weed out 'all informants who informed for the FBI, the police and other organizations. stated when one was suspected, the Klan would hold a special trial and the. accused could have a representative from their own Klan group. to give his side of the story. recalled they had three trials while he was in b6 the Klan at which he was present, indicating he was in the Klan. until just after. advised the first trial b7C was in about August, l975. however, he did not recall the name of the person tried. He stated the man was from the Apex, North Carolina, Klavern, and he recalled. ViRgIL GRiFFIn brought the charges against this man himself. He described the victim as follows: 5/19/83 N.C.
