Income Tax Returns of PHiLIP H. LEvy, it was ascertained tha evy claimed to have paid during 1944 and 1945 $655.00 to Dr. HAROLD AABRAsCN. This report also reflects that Confidential Informant advised that Mr. and Mrs, LEvy both had series of appoint b7D ments with Doctor ABRAMSOn, whose offioes are at 133 East 58th Street,Now York City. According to this report on December 15, l944, SA's Sanuel O. Riloy and Ralph H. Perry, obaerved Mrs. LEvy ontering the office of Dr. ABRAMsON at 5:30 Pu. She appeared to open the door to the offico with a key although there were lights on in the office.. Dr. ADOLPH A. LILIEN, 46 East 8Oth Street, New York City, advised thst he has known the appointee for twenty yoars and that he and Dr. ABRAMsOn hed maintansd the sane otfioe at l33 East 58th Street, New York City, for * number Of yoars. He stated that Mr. and urs. PhILip LEvy had been patients of Ir.. (Dr. LiLren) had taken care of his patients, until the appointee returned from the Army. Ho stated that the appointee #is anti-Communist and he hates the Reda more than anytbing clse." According to Dr. LILteN the appointee. that the files of the New York Office refle ct no information on LILlEN. It is to be noted that on the Appointee's Loyalty Form he states he Significant. Since this inquiry did not develop any substantive information-indioating disloyalty on tho part of the appointee, no further investigation will b conducted in the absence of instructions to the contrary from the Sureau.Ruc. + :
