A he ever noted any attitude on the part of members of his race that would give any support to the alleged statement of Mr. Robeson. He replied that he had never run across it any time. He was asked if he had ever been approached to join any of the. subversive organizations. He replied that he was never approached but, when he was a kid, "we" were interested in the way "they" acted to get "us" to join. Young ladies were sent out to see if he and others would join their organization (cp in Pasadena).
