Ibe circumstances set forth in referenced airtel
Were discussed with Dr. Don Wilson, Chief, Maamalogy Section,
U. S. Fish and Wildlife Service, Vashington, D. C.
Dr. Wilson said that the circuastances set forth in
.referenced airtel are consistent vith natural phenomens.
According to Dr. Wilson, vhen ssall saumals such as foxes and
opposums feed on tbe .carcasses of.large manrals such as
cattle that have not decayed they first feed on soft tissues
such as the nose, lips, udders and genital areas. He said
that it has been frequently observed that the genitel area
Is sost often the first soft tissus to be attacked.
Dr. Wilson had no information coocerning the specific
sppearance of tissue bitten by foxes.
