Special Ager') end a number of detectives from the St.Louis Metropolitan Police Department. Witnesses Mrs. Luther Arnold and Geralene Arnold were.. -then transferred from Mkt train #8 to Alton train #8, seats 28 and 30 in. car #3, shich train departed from St:Louis, Missouri for Chieago, Illinois at905.M. Inmediately upon the departure of Alton train #2 for Chicago Tilinois, Special Agent in Charge D. M. Ladd talked with the Chicago Div- of the de- parture of the above nemed witnesses for Chicago, Illinois, at which time a request was also made that said witnesses be met in Chicago, nlinois. Between the arrival of the Texas Special and the departure of the St.Louis, Missouri Police Orficers, and also kept what appeared to be a close watch upon the witnesses referred to herein, after which this. in-. dividial made a remark to Detective mentioning *the Kelly case", in This individual identified himself as displaying his rail- road ticket and reservations, which refleeted that he.had boarded the Texas Special at San Antonio, Texas and was'trar.ling fram St.Louis, Missouri to Chicago, Illinois via Alton train #2. then advised that he was,after stopping in Chicago, Illinois, proceeding on to Canada. He was further questioned by several detectives of the St.Louis Metropolitan of the witnesses noted in this case. departed from St. Louis, Missouri on Alton train #2 at 9:05 A.M. During the stop-over of witnesses Mrs. Luther'Arnold and Gera- lene Arnold in St.Louis, Missouri, Mrs. Arnold wired! Pittnan Hotel, Se4y North Brvry Street, Dallas, Texas, that she had arrived safely in St.Louis, Missouri, and was proceeding on to Chicago, Illinois. REFERRRD UPON COMPLRTION TO OFFICE OF ORIGE b7C
