P.D., regarding David Hahn who may be involved with radioactive material. Sensitive Investigative Matter Fotts ef Incident Det. Shelby Twp.P.D., advised that he received information from Probation Ofticer reyarding David Hahn, who in 1994 attempted to build a mini nuctear reactor. Probation Officer advised that b6 Hann has numerous burn marks on his face, which are similar to the marks Hahn had on his face when he was building the reactor. Det. stated that perhaps Hahn is again attempting to build a reactor or is using b7C radioactive materials. Det Jbelieves Hahn is currently on probation for drug possession. A search of David Hahn on the Internet revealed that Hann is known for his attempt to build a breeder nuclear reactor in 1994 in his backyard shed in Commerce Twp., MI at age 17. The reactor never achieved critical mass; however, it did emit dangerous levels of radioactivity. Hahn is nicknamed the "Radioactive Boy Scout" and the subject of a book oy the same nanie. Also according to the Internet, Hahn was arrested in August 2oo7 in Clinton his apartment building. The arrest photo for this incident shows that Hahn's face was covered with sores, which Snvestigators believed were possibly fron exposure to radioactive materials. When Mahn built the mini reactor in [1994, he used chemicals from smoke detectors..
