Synopsis:
Subject allegedlymade statement to the United Airlines.

The subject was not allowed to board and flight not delayed.
In interview subject admitted making statement to the effect
this his bag did contain nitroglycerine. After making statement,
he realized what he had said and apoligized. It. GANNoN, Port
Authority Police, Newark Airport, stated that subject apologized
to him for having made the statement. AUSA GEORGE J. KOELZER,
Newark, New Jersey, on 9/27/69, declined prosecution of subject
in view of the fact that subject had apologized after making
the statement and koeLzeR of the opinion that prosecution not
in the best interest of the Government.
DETAILS
This investigation was predicated upon information
telephonically furnished to the Newark Office of the Federal
1969, by Lieutenant THOMAs GANNON, Port Authority Police,.
Newark Airport, Newark, New Jersey. Lieutenant GANNoN advised
that the subject had made a statement to the United Airlines
ticket agent to the effect that his bag contained nitroglycerine.
The subject was not allowed to board the plane and the flight
was not delayed.
