Weaver and TulyKupferberg. This group is described as New York's
most fantastic protest rock and roll peace - sex - grass --psychcdelic
singing group who write all their own material utilizing the artistic and
literary heritage of the low East Side of New York combined with the
civil rights and peace movements. According to information developed
by the New York Office this group was among the initial founders of the
Youth International Party. One of the prior recordings of this group
entitled "The Fugs First Album" was discussed with AUSA Stephen
Kaufman, Southern District of New York, who advised that after
listening to the record he did not feel it would be a good vehicle for
prosecution under the Interstate Transportation of Obscene Matters
Statute and he therefore declindd prosecution. The record which
