HEGARty stated that after some efforts baing made to sell trucks to D'AnrEA he finally in about 1939 reached an agreement with D'ANDREA to sell the latter four six-wheel trucks st a cost of about seven thousand dollars oach, which t trucks were to bo financed through tho Mack Truck Company's own financing organization; however, according to HroARty the dasl for delivery of these four trucks was never consummated, inasmuch as the order nas canceled by D'ANDREA. HECARTy denied that he ever had sny dealings with D'AnDrEA other tban those which were strictly in connection mith the sale of the trucks described above. He denied that he ever entertained D'AnwreA in any way, that he over visited at. D'ANDrEA's home or D ANDreA had ever visited in his home. HEGARty statai that he furnished a letter urging D ANDrA's parole gladly, be renabilitated, HcgArrr stated that he basedthis opinion upon his business dealings nith DAnDreA as set out above and apon his ability to judge human nature from such contacts.
