5.1. The CJIs Division, under the leadership of its assistant director (AD), delivers timely,
accessible, and relevant law enforcement and criminal justice information to the Federal
Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and to qualified law enforcement, criminal justice, civilian,
academic, employment, and licensing agencies concerning individuals, stolen property, and
criminal and terrorist organizations, in order to reduce terrorist and other criminal activities,
enhance officer safety, and achieve similar law enforcement objectives..
5.2. The Cjis Division delivers its services primarily through the following programs:.
5.2.1. Next Generation Identification (NGI)
5.2.2.
National Instant Criminal Background Check System (NIcS).
5.2.3.
National Data Exchange (N-Dex)
5.2.4.
Law Enforcement Enterprise Portal (LEEP)
5.2.5.
National Crime Information Center (NCIC)
5.2.6.Uniform Crime Reporting (UcR)
5.2.7. National Threat Operations Center (NTOC)
Roles and Responsibilities
6.1.1. Delivering CJis Division services to effectively meet the CJis Division's mission,.
which is to equip the FBI's law enforcement, national security, and Intelligence Community
(IC) partners with the criminal justice information they need to protect the United States.

6.1.2. Directing the CJis Division's strategic planning efforts to establish objectives,.

services to protect the United States from terrorist attacks, foreign intelligence activities.
