Being returned to the Bureau are the following items
of CCTV equipment:
1. Panasonic CCTV camera.
2. Fixed focal length, manual zoom CCTV lense.
3. Power supply for camera
This equipment is being returned in a damaged condition
for cleaning and repair. On the night of 12/6/83, while this
equipment was being utilized in captioned matter, it was damaged
by severe thunderstorms and tornado force winds which struck
the South Louisiana area. The equipment was subjected to
considerable rain water and mud exposure after being blown
from the protective enclosure during the storm.
Attempts by technical personnel to clean and repair ere
the damage in the field were unsuccessful. New Orleans has, howeve
replaced the damaged equipment with equipment available in the
division and the system is fully operational
Any inquiry regarding the circu the nature
of the damage should be directed to sap at Baton .
